We stand in unconditional solidarity with Indigenous people in this area and beyond. We support indigenous people's rights to fish, hunt, and develop their economies however they see fit. This includes Casinos and other projects some environmentalists might disprove of. Our stance is clear: It is not Indigenous people who are destroying the planet, it is giant corporations. You can see our Indigenous Solidarity Statement here.
We also stand in solidarity with progressive organized labor. After all, the people who can best stop destructive mining, forestry, and other practices are the workers who actually do the work. We have a common enemy - the boss. We are stronger when we work with unions and laborers rather than antagonize them.
We are not a non-profit. We are a grass-root, working-class, community-lead organization that is entirely self funded. We work with non-profits to secure grant funding to pay for our communal space.

We work with local communities on a variety of local environmental issues in Tacoma, and the greater South Sound area. We are currently fighting for a democratic climate commission. Previously we fought to block the Mega Warehouse being built on 56th Street in Tacoma, in solidarity with the South Tacoma Neighborhood council, 350Tacoma, and the conversation253. Likewise, we stand with La Resistencia to close the NWDC built on a superfund site. We stand in unconditional solidarity with all Indigenous people and recognize that environmental liberation cannot happen without indigenous liberation, from Puyallup to Palestine.
Green washing is a tactic used by for profit groups (businesses, corporations, etc.) to make a product or service seem environmentally friendly, when in actuality it isn't. For example, when a pizza company prints large "please recycle" messages on their pizza boxes, despite the fact that oil-soiled cardboard (like a used pizza box) is not recyclable.
We recognize that sustainability is not the sole responsibility of the individual. We promote sustainable living for everyone by holding accountable the parties who are actually responsible: for profit corporations and their friends.
